Booking Notice
We ask for 72 hours notice for all bookings. If you receive a last minute request, we are happy to check our calendar for availability but cannot guarantee we will be able to complete the clean.
Operating Hours
We operate cleanings Monday through Friday from 8 am to 6 pm EST.
Cancellation and other Sparkle Terms

What Does Sparkle Provide?
Sparke provides all the cleaning products and equipment to complete the clean except we do use your toilet brushes.
What does the client provide?
Anything that you would like us to leave out for guests (example, toilet paper, paper towel, dish pods, etc). We asks our client to provide laundry detergent and back up sheets and towels.
Pets
There is a $50 pet fee as it takes us longer to clean.
Food and Drinks
Unfortunately we are unable to check expiration dates of food and drinks in refrigerators and pantries.
Inventory
If you would like Sparkle to update you on when you are low on inventory items, we will need you to email a list of what you would like us to monitor and the quantity at which you would like us to reach out to you when it hits that threshold.
Access
Sparkle requires rentals to use a lockbox or electronic lock for entry. Ensure cleaners have full access to the property before the scheduled cleaning day, with no interruptions (including from pets). If cleaners cannot access or complete the cleaning, you will be charged $100 for their time and travel.
Owner’s Closet Access
Lockbox or electronic keypad is recommended for accessing the owner’s closets.
Same Day Turnover
Sparkle requires a minimum of 6 hours when a guest checks out and checks in on the same day. This ensures we have enough time to perform a quality cleaning.
Additional Request
Sparkle cannot complete additional requests without 48 hours' notice. If notified in time and able to accommodate, we will try to complete the task; additional fees may apply.
Biohazards
Sparkle does not clean hazardous materials, including litter boxes, pet messes, bird guano, blood, feces, urine, and overflowed toilets. Cleaning body fluids requires BBP certification, which we do not have.
Checklist
Flat rate pricing covers everything on our Vacation Rental Checklist. Sparkle can accommodate specific needs outside the checklist, but additional fees may apply.
Early Arrival
Guests are not allowed to enter the property while Sparkle is still working. If guests enter before check-in time, Sparkle is not responsible for cleaning quality complaints.
Early Check-ins
During peak season, we need the full turnover window to ensure thorough cleaning. Early check-ins are not permitted because property conditions vary between guests, and some cleanings may require extra time and attention.
Heavy Duty Fee
If guests leave the property in an unreasonable condition, we may charge a fee to restore it to our standards. This applies in rare cases where guests deliberately leave the rental in poor condition. The fee is 50% of the original cleaning price, with pictures provided and any damage reported.

Late Checkout
To ensure each property receives proper attention, Sparkle requires at least 48 hours' notice for late checkouts, with no guarantee of acceptance due to varying cleaning times. Late checkouts cannot be accommodated for bookings with same-day guest check-ins. If our team arrives for the turnover window and guests haven't checked out or extended their stay without prior notice, a $75.00 fee will be applied to the booking.
Spruce Cleanings
For units vacant for over 30 days, a spruce cleaning before the next guests' check-in is recommended. Sparkle is not responsible for complaints from guests checking into units vacant or not cleaned for 30 days or more, typically in the off-season.
Missed Items
- Within 24hrs of check-in: Our cleaners use a detailed checklist and inspect each unit after cleaning. If a small area is missed, report it within 24 hours, and we'll schedule a return visit promptly. We understand the importance of reviews and cleanliness for your rental's rating, taking full responsibility for any oversight and ensuring a swift response during business hours.
- Outside 24hrs of check-in: Guests must report any missed items within 24 hours of arrival. Reports after this timeframe may incur a 50% fee for our team to return, as it's challenging to determine if items were missed during cleaning or became dirty during the stay.
Garbage Cans and Recycle Bins
Sparkle is not responsible for cleaning garbage cans and recycle bins. Sparkle is not responsible to take trash cans and recycle bins out on garbage day and back in.
Parking
Please provide clear parking instructions or passes for our team to access your property on the cleaning day. Failure to do so may result in fees or tickets invoiced to the owner.
